A LITTLE LISBON

A tasca.
From Lisbon.
In Kuala Lumpur.

Our pastel de nata is baked fresh every morning to a Lisbon recipe passed down through generations. The first warm, caramelised bite is what we’re all about.

Beyond the egg tart, Bartolo is a Portuguese tasca — freshly baked breads, in-house jams, traditional mains from bacalhau to grilled sardines, and the warm hospitality of Lisbon brought to KL.

★★★★★

“Pastel de Nata: fragrant and flavourful with hints of cinnamon and lemon, delicately smooth with thin, crackly crusts. One of KL's most exciting bakery-cafes.”

★★★★★

“The egg tart is seriously one of the best I've had. The crust was perfectly flaky and buttery, and the custard filling was creamy with just a hint of cinnamon. A cosy little spot, perfect for hanging out.”

★★★★★

“It's amazing that it took this long for KL to have a Portuguese eatery -- this missing cog in the wheel is finally emplaced. The Francesinha is absolutely scrumptious. Love how they strive to maintain the authenticity.”

★★★★★

“Thursday nights bring live jazz, open mic style. Whether you're there to soak in the vibes or take the stage yourself, it's a truly fun experience that stays with you long after the last bite.”
